EIG shareholder engagement with High Liner Foods

EIG sends a letter to Heather Keeler-Hurshman VP, Investor Relations & Corporate Performance, at High Liner Foods (HLF) concerning allegations brought before a US court of human trafficking of Cambodian workers in the shrimp industry that supplies Rubicon Resources, a company that HLF acquired in 2017. 

Two new potential stock investments for EIG

EIG partners recently approved two new US stocks for potential investment: Hannon Armstrong Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, a provider of financing for sustainable energy and infrastructure projects, and Xylem, a provider of technology and equipment for water and wastewater applications.

GIÉ/EIG – Divestment from tar-sands pipelines / Désinvestissement des oléoducs et des sables bitumineux

En tant que membre de la Caisse d'économie solidaire, le GIÉ a demandé qu'une proposition de désinvestissement dans les oléoducs et les sables bitumineux soit présentée lors de l’AGA annuelle du Mouvement Desjardins, en mars 2018. La proposition veut que le Mouvement Desjardins :

• réduise progressivement son financement et ses investissements dans les oléoducs de sables bitumineux; et
• se retire tout soutien du projet d'oléoduc Trans Mountain.

It was supposed to rain all day, but the sun (literally and figuratively) came out as EIG members gathered in the roughly-plowed parking lot of Bâtiment 7 on Saturday, April 28, 2018 for a social event/tour of our group’s most recent community investment.
